Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Rotation ("we", "us", "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use Rotation. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account immediately.

3. Description of Service

Rotation is a peer-to-peer clothing rental platform that allows users to rent and lend clothing items. We facilitate connections between users but are not a party to the rental transactions themselves.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of our service, you must register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You will not:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Steal, destroy, or fail to return rented items
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment processing
• Upload inappropriate, offensive, or infringing content

6. Item Listings and Rentals

Users may list clothing items for rent and rent items from other users. All transactions are conducted at the user's own risk. Lenders are responsible for accurate item descriptions and condition.

7. Payment Terms

Payments are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Rental fees include a service fee and damage protection fee. Platform fees are deducted from owner earnings when rentals complete.

8. Item Care and Responsibility

Renters are responsible for the proper care and timely return of rented items. Stealing or destroying an item will result in a charge equal to the item's value or replacement cost. Any damage beyond normal wear will result in additional charges. Lenders must ensure items are clean and in the condition described.

9. Prohibited Items

Certain items may not be listed for rent, including but not limited to: underwear, swimwear, damaged or unclean items, counterfeit goods, and items that violate any applicable laws.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your profile, listings, and associated data will be permanently removed. Active rentals must be completed before account deletion.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for violations of these terms or our community guidelines.

12. Limitation of Liability

Rotation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between users should first be addressed through our in-app reporting system. We will make reasonable efforts to help resolve disputes but are not obligated to mediate.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through our app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
